WEEKLY FISHING FORECAST:

Trout opening week of April 25 (DRFI 0.5):  The first week of trout fishing season has finally arrived with much anticipation. The region is still experiencing limited snow melt in the higher elevations of the watershed as well as frequent precipitations which are keeping area streams and rivers flowing at elevated levels.  River wading is not advisable at this time and bank fishing opportunities remain very limited. Stillwater lakes in the region are now ice free and will offer the best fishing opportunities for the coming weeks under very cold water conditions.
